A couple of mornings' birding at Cumberland Falls this weekend turned up a
couple of mixed warber flocks, including
parula
hooded (several singing in the woods)
black-throated green
yellow-throated
pine
bay-breasted
yellow-rumped
also
red-eyed, white-eyed, and yellow-throated vireos (all singing)
one olive-sided flycatcher on two mornings (or two in the same spot on
succesive days!)
male baltimore oriole still in bright breeding plumage
and a flock of 8 to 10 male scarlet tanagers in basic plumage all feeding
actively together.
another lifer, nonavian, was the famous moonbow. definitely worth a visit :)
