The brown trashers returned late last week, and I saw my first of season Cat
bird yesterday. I also saw the FOS Rose Breasted Grossbeak yesterday as well.
I have yet to see my first hummingbird but the feeder is up. Two mockingbirds
were decimating the apple halves on the fruit feeder - I've had a lone one the
last year or so, but this was the first time I've had a pair. For the first
time in several years, I have a bluebird pair hanging out around the nest box
on the side yard - I have mostly shade in my yard, so I don't often get them.
The only tornado damage I had from the Feb 4th tornado was it smashed my unused
martin house. As soon as I took that off the pole and put up the bluebird box,
I had bluebirds. I still have a few white throated sparrows but the juncos are
all gone.
