Becky and I were in Louisville yesterday afternoon on Hurstborne Ln. at I64 at
5:00 and witnessed 75+ Turkey Vultures drifting north. They were clearly
migrating not searching for food. They were strung out over 1/2 mile or more
and I counted 75 but the way they were streaming along there were probably
more. This is the largest number of TUVU I have seen at one time and every
other time I have seen a large group they have been kettled up and actively
hunting.
