There were 10 Common Snipe (Snipes?) and 3 Killdeer feeding in a temporary pond in my neighbors bean stubblefield this morning. I also saw my first Tree Swallow of the season this morning, flying around one of my own ponds. A pair of Canada Geese and a pair of Mallards have been regulars on one of my ponds or another ever since the cold weather broke.
