[birdky] Then there were two . . . and Black-billed Cuckoo

The flock of Pine Siskins coming to my feeders has dwindled down to 2 birds today.

Fonthill, Russell Co.
2 Savannah Sparrows 1 singing
2 adult and 2 pretty juv. Horned Larks

Casey Creek, Adair 5/16 (The lake is almost 9 feet above summer pool. The water is over the road to the Casey Creek boat ramp.) Black-billed Cuckoo carrying a caterpillar! It flew in to a small walnut and sat looking around for approximately 10 min. holding the caterpillar. I watched hoping to see where it would go, but it flew down into a thicket row too fast for me to see the exact spot.
Gray-cheeked and Swainson's Thrush

Green River SP
3 Common Loons
3 Sterna Terns too distant for me to ID
Henslow's Sparrow

Birding smiles . . . . .
