[birdky] Sunday April 22 - Yard report

Today is a special day, not just because its Earth Day, but also my grandson's
birthday. After having the family over for a late "Easter Egg Hunt", I took
off to see what surprises the yard held. I was not disappointed...I heard a
Scarlet Tanager and hooded warbler, seen Black-throated green Warbler,
yellow-throated warbler and vireo, red-eye vireo, yellow rumped warber, lots of
blue-gray gnat catcher. All the woodpeckers that are common, red-belled,
hairy, downy, flicker and pileated. Song, field, chipping and white throated
sparrow. Quite a few White throats still around. A wild turkey came walking
up through the wood and flew once it realized I was a human. The best was a
prairie warlber. It came withing 3 feet of me, too bad I did not have a camera.

It was a wonderful day..Happy Earth Day to all.
