Got a surprise today preparing to water a flower garden. Flushed a bird
from under the lambs ears and bee balm. It walked a short distance then
took off. Thick yellow beak. Proportionally short tail, which was white on
the underside. Checked the bird guide. My best guess is a Sora, with which
I'm not familiar.
