I thought I saw a rail by the hayfield pond late yesterday but wasn't
absolutely certain it wasn't a just fledged blackbird. Today I began cutting
hay in the field by that pond and flushed it 4 times before it went down in a
block of hay I won't be cutting until at least next week. I was unable to get a
picture(though I was toting my camera), but I saw it enough and in strong
enough light to feel certain it was a Sora.
