We saw the snow geese too....I believe. Very high up flyover at 3 pm,
northeast Barren County. Heard them first. Found them with the binoculars.
Too far away to get absolute markings, but definitely not Canada Geese. Their
vee was a little discombobulated, and kept reforming, counted about 50, then
noted a single stream of about 40 just a few yards behind the initial ones.
Would never have figured them for Snow Geese without all the birdky posts.
Got to see 4 Short earred owls in Grayson Count between 4-5pm, then heard a
Great Horned owl when I got back home at 6pm. Very nice birds for this part of
the State!

I also saw a flock of Snow Geese flyover Wednesday at about 7:30 A.M. Maybe 50.
Thought at first I was hearing dogs yapping, then looked up and saw the geese.
Too slow getting my camera out before they disappeared behind trees heading
almost due west.
Later in the day I went scouting for Steve Tyson's dark hawk but had no
luck. Two Kestrels on Wash Gunn Road were the only raptors of any kind I saw on
the drive.
