Wood Tract: I parked at the oil well and walked out in the field to the wet
area behind the weeds.
This was productive!
I arrived at the Shorebird Unit to find 1 Great Egret, after I was out there
for a while, Great Egrets kept arriving.
Finally counted 21 at one time.
Two terns over Shorebird Unit, some photos. I think Common Terns but could be
Forster’s.
Hardy Slough Bald Eagle’s nest at one time had 2 adults and 2 juvs visible at
one time.
Orchard Oriole building a nest at Hardy Slough.
Mowing! The dikes at Hardy Slough, Shorebird Unit, and the trail to Pond Creek
Marsh have all been mowed!
