Hardy Slough impoundments along the gravel road are now being flooded.

I assume they will wait on flooding Wood Tract until the corn is harvested, like wise across the road from Wood Tract the soy beans have not been harvested so flooding is not going on there either.

I don't remember if I have noted this before: there is very large Bald Eagle nest over Gentle Pond. It must be 10 feet tall and looks like the eagles have just kept building it up and up.
I was probably built this past winter.
It is so far back Gentle Pond that its actually across the Sloughs property line and in High Ground Hunting Club property.
I wonder how that will effect their nesting success.
I probably would have discovered it earlier in the spring, but the water level was very high where beavers had created a damed area,
and I would normally have accessed that area.
