I visited in order Hardy Slough, Pond Creek Marsh, 268 slough, Horseshoe Road, Uniontown-Mt. Vernon Road (Union Co.),
W. Franklin Road, Gentle Pond, and Shorebird Unit.

Notes:
268 slough - water still high, but the river is down, no shorebirds seen. Horseshoe Road - water is still high, farmers working the fields, no shorebirds seen. West Franklin Road now open - lots of shorebirds seen, especially near Straight-Line Road.
Shorebird Unit - many shorebirds


Highlights:
Bald Eagles: 1 at nest, 2 perched at Pond Creek Marsh, 1 imm. over Gentle Pond
Soras calling, but numbers appear down
Am. Coot numbers declining
Semipalmated Plovers: 2 flocks, one of 25 at west end of W. Franklin Road in the mud with no water around
another smaller group at east end of W. Franklin Road with other waders
Spotted Sandpiper - one at Pond Creek Marsh
Solitary Sandpipers - many, everywhere
Pectoral Sandpipers - at W. Franklin Road and Shorebird Unit
White-rumped Sandpipers - 3 at W. Franklin Road
Dunlin - 1 at Shorebird Unit
Dowitchers (sp?)- 52 at Shorebird Unit
Great-crested Flycatchers - several at Gentle Pond
House Wren - several
White-eyed Vireo
Warbling Vireo
Nashville W. several
Yellow W.
Louisiana Waterthrush
Yellowthroats several
Bobolinks - 4 at Uniontown-Mt. Vernon Road (Union Co.)
