Another great day for birding.

6:30am to 1:30pm
45º rising to 68º clear, calm to light wind later
I visited in order: Shorebird Impoundment, Hardy Slough, Grassy Pond/ Powell's Lake Unit, 268 slough, Gentle Pond.

FOS:
Green Herons: 6 at Hardy Slough
Canada Geese Family at Gentle Pond: 2 adults & 6 goslings
Semi-palmated Plovers: 6 at 268 slough
Spotted Sandpiper: 2 at Grassy Pond/Powell's Lake Unit
Long-billed Dowitcher: 10 at Shorebird impoundment
Ruby-throated Hummingbirds: 2 near Gentle Pond
House Wren: 1 at Gentle Pond
Swainson's Thrush: 1 at Gentle Pond
Red-eyed Vireo: 1 at Hardy Slough
Warbling Vireo: 1 at Gentle Pond
Nashville Warbler: 1 at Grassy Pond/Powell's Lake unit
Yellow Warbler: 1 at Grassy Pond/Powell's Lake unit
Yellow-throated Warbler: 1 at Hardy Slough
Orchard Oriole: 1 at Hardy Slough
Baltimore Oriole: 2 at Grassy Pond/Powell's Lake Unit

Coots: only 2 seen at Hardy Slough
Western Sandpipers: 5 at Shorebird Impoundment
Dunlins still at Shorebird impoundment
Hairy Woodpeckers: 2 seen
Sedge Wren still at Gentle Pond
Bald Eagles: 1 adult & 1 juvenal seen at Hardy Slough. No activity at south nest. 1 adult on north nest.
White-throated Sparrows still around
Yellow-rumped Warblers still around and looking good in breeding plumage
