[birdky] Sloughs Fieldtrip 22 October 2005

Fifteen observers shared a fabulous day and splendid
birding at the Sloughs WMA in Henderson County today
and totalled 92 species.  Highlights are:

Greater White-fronted Goose  16

Northern Pintail 
Northern Shoveler
Gadwall
American Wigeon
Ring-necked Duck
American Bittern
Red-tailed Hawk  adult light-morph calurus or eastern
Canadian borealis
King Rail
Virginia Rail
Sora 3
Greater Yellowlegs  3
Lesser Yellowlegs
Least Sandpiper 2
Pectoral Sandpiper 6+
Dunlin 
Wilson's Snipe 50+
Short-eared Owl
Sedge Wren  2
Marsh Wren 3
LeConte's Sparrow 5
Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrow 6+
Brewer's Blackbird
Pine Siskin
