[birdky] Siskins, Jays & Purple Finch

Today we've had a couple of Pine Siskins at the feeder again--the last ones
were here on Nov. 13 & 14. Had a lone female Purple Finch yesterday--first
we've seen since last winter.

As to Blue Jays--since the birdky discussion about them began, I've been paying
special attention and it seems that we have a steady group of 5-6 in our yard
most days. This is about normal for our feeders. Occasionally they'll gang up
on a passing hawk or eagle, and then the numbers swell considerably as the
raucous noise is broadcast.
