More habitat, more birds. These are highlights from the last 2 days on
the newly formed mud flats.
Crappie Hollow 8/31
Semipalmated plover - 1
Killdeer - 65
Solitary Sandpiper - 2
Spotted Sandpiper - 4
Semipalmated Sandpiper - 2
Least Sandpiper - 8
Pectoral Sandpiper - 3
Fish Crow
Jonathan Creek 9/01
Killdeer
Lesser Yellowlegs - 2
Spotted Sandpiper - 4
Least Sandpiper - 5
Calidris species - 1 probably Bairds but I am not positive. Too far with
too much sunshine. I could tell the species by long wings, legs and
structure of the bird.
