[birdky] Re: Shameless self propmotion

Enjoyed your photos. I too love to take photos of birds and consider myself an
"intermediate novice birder." I have quite a few photos posted on the
Internet, including ones taken recently of bald eagles on our trip to the
Mississippi Great River Road in late February. We saw hundreds on our two day
trip, and I was able to get a few good close-ups, both perched in trees and
soaring. Most are at Yahoo photos. One of these days, I will get around to
posting a link...

I fancy myself a semi decent amateur photographer and really like taking
pictures of birds. It is how I accumulate my "lifetime list" which is actually
pretty short. I just wanted to share if anyone cared to see. I have a little
over 100 bird photos posted in addition to other nonbird shots. If anyone
cares, you can see them at:

Some of the shots were taken at Reelfoot Lake area including several at Nancy
Moore's Blue Basin Cove. Eagles, Great Blue Herons, owls, nuthatch, goldfinches
etc. Then random assortment near my home from basic cardinal, blue bird,
nuthatches, chickadees to flickers, downy, pileated, red bellied woodpeckers,
waxwings, ducks, hawks, falcons, killdeer, kingfisher, deer (I know, not a
bird, but trying to find deer to take pictures of is what got me onto birds).
Nothing is gonna make National Geographic, but some are pretty good. Most are
average and some stink.
That site is also free if you wanted to put up your own photos.
