We counted 36 species this weekend. The Yellow-rumped Warbler was a
highlight, but four Bluebirds hanging around and apparently staking out
territory were also delightful to watch. They spent a lot of time around the
boxes and I even saw them chase a nosy Starling away.

The Meadowlarks are suddenly plentiful and boisterous, after being mostly
absent since mid-fall.  Red-winged Blackbirds and Robins are also staking
their claims and (especially the Red-wings) starting to sing.  The
Nuthatches were especially vocal this weekend.
