[birdky] Sandhills in Indiana

The past couple of weekends, my husband and I have headed into Indiana to Ewing
Bottoms for the sandhill crane migration. This past Sunday, we arrived around
4:30PM, and watched a field full of approximately 2000 lift off, wave by wave,
and head to the roost for the evening. Then we followed their flight, and we
were able to watch cranes come in for the night, with the backdrop of a hazy
sunset. It's kind of ironic that we travel the two hours each way, and on
Monday night, there was a flock of 17 that flew directly over our house.

Thanks so much for the info on the list for the Kentucky areas. I am going to
give the Cecilia area a try this weekend. Much closer than Indiana.

I have uploaded some photos to share with the group, if interested. You will
probably have to cut and paste into your browser.
