Thought I'd report a few sightings from this week:
--a flock of 36 Sandhill Cranes went over today
--had a female Rose-breasted Grosbeak on 10/8
--many Tenn. Warblers along with numerous others, esp. Yellow-rumps &
Hoodeds all week (I'd be more specific about the others, but this
identification of fall travelers is driving me nuts!)
--White-throated Sparrows arrived in the thicket (singing) on 10/9
--huge flocks of Chimney Swifts (hundreds) on 10/7 & 10/8--fewer numbers
today, but they were VERY high today, so numbers were hard to estimate.
