Jeanne- Just head to Bowling Green. A friend who lives near McElroy Lake called me today to report there were more Sandhill Cranes than he's ever seen there. When I arrived @ 2:00 pm, there were acres and acres of birds grazing in the cut-over fields on the Meng Road (southeast) side of the lake. It was a beautiful, surreal sight. McElroy Lake is the transient lake just south of Bowling Green between the Richpond and Woodburn communities on Hiway 884.
