[birdky] Rpt: Grrenup Co.- Ruddy Duck

Yesterday, I was at the mouth of the Little Sandy River and observed 14
Double-crested Cormorants, numerous Ring-billed Gulls, one Herring Gull and one
Ruddy Duck on the Ohio River. The Ruddy Duck was a surprise. It is also the
first time I have seen one in Greenup County.
I was also at the Greenup Dam. There were 200 to 300 Ring-billed Gulls
and 5 juvenile Herring Gulls below the dam. Numerous birds were on the water
above the dam but it is basicly blocked. No real way to observe that area.
Saturday, I observed a snipe on the mud flats at the mouth of the Little
Sandy River.
