I also saw a Connecticut warbler yesterday, at Griffith Wood just south of
Cynthiana (unfortunately this is not accessible to the public, it's owned by
UK). This was a life bird for me, and I was thrilled at finally seeing one
after years of searching. Amazingly enough, it actually behaved exactly like
the description in the field guides (jumped up from the ground then walked
along a low branch) and was in the exactly the habitat described (deciduous
thicket right next to a grassy marsh). A nice male, actually quite easy to
identify due a very conspicuous white eye ring and grey hood.
