[birdky] Red-tailed Hawk

Good morning, everyone!

I officially have two raptors on my list! The first being a Cooper's Hawk
that was being chased around by several crows (and two barn swallows) in
Fort Collins, CO, and now, the second: a red-tailed hawk!

I spotted this one on my way home from the vet's office this morning! I saw
him/her glide/swoop down into the grass next to Cemetery Road & right before
the north-bound offramp for I-65 before gliding gracefully into a small tree
beside the road. I watched for at least 30 minutes as the hawk perched atop
the tree and looked around, ignoring all the smaller birds that occasionally
flew by.

After a while, the hawk took off for another perch, but came back after a
few minutes to the same small tree. I couldn't see the red tail except for
when flying/gliding, but I am confident that it was an Eastern Adult!

What an exciting way to start the morning! And here I've been just looking
for Kestrels!
