interesting..i never see these guys on my farm in anderson county until the
third week in february. they are a harbinger of spring for me. i know its
almost over when i hear the red winged blackbirds singing "conk ah reeee".
i just went to lowes and got a bunch of black oil sunflower seed and suet.
the birds cleaned me out of 100 pounds of seed.
also..we have a big flock of robins at the farm right now. they're munching
cedar berries.

Had a pair of these at my platform feeder this morning. Cannot remember
seeing them in the winter/snow before, although they frequently visit the
feeder at other times of the year (Draut Park is nearby). And ONE WT Sparrow
was finally spotted, also on the platform feeder. The other one is around
here somewhere.
