I spent yesterday (Friday) morning at Raven Run still hoping to find evidence
of Henslow Sparrows. None.
What I did see:
Wood Duck brood
Yellow-billed Cuckoo
Orchard Oriole
Chimney Swift
All of the usual breeding birds.
I spent last week at the Roger Tory Peterson birding festival at and around
Jamestown, NY. The species count was in the neighborhood of 125 - 130,
including 25 warbler species. I grew up in that area and never realized that
so many warblers bred in southwestern NY & northwestern PA.
