Just out of interest, I saw 2 small groups (c5 birds in each) of coot out a=
t the Lexington Reservoir yesterday, viewing from the Lakeshore Drive are=
a. Not an awful lot else there species-wise, around 40 horned grebes and =
4 buffleheads were the only birds of note.

Do any birders familiar with the two Lexington reservoirs know any good van=
tage points? I find it quite frustrating that there are these huge and po=
tentially rewarding bodies of water, and yet it is very hard to find a pl=
ace to scan them from, since estates pretty much ring the water's edge.

other birds of note around Lexington last week for me were a northern harri=
er and winter wren.
