This wild bird chase turned out as most do, and as I had expected ... the
Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch turned out to be a "bald" male Northern Cardinal! As is
sometimes the case, as well, the descriptions of the bird had been simply too
curious not to go check out.
While in the hosts' yard, I did see an American Restart and heard a Blackpoll
Warbler, and on the way home I checked on the Yellow-crowned Night-Herons along
Woodbine Road. Two birds could be seen incubating on nests.
