[birdky] RPT: Strange feeder bird at Lexington ... rosy finch??

I fielded a call today second hand from some non-birding folks who live in
Lexington and believe they have a Gray-crowned Rosy Finch coming to their
feeders. Although this seems quite improbable, the description of the bird is
odd enough that it seems as though a trip there tomorrow is warranted.
Depending on the weather I will try to get over there in the morning, although
the bird has been seen only in the late afternoon or early evening for a couple
of days. Vagrancy of this species has heretofore been limited almost
exclusively to the late fall through early spring period and mostly in northern
states. If it turns out to be anything interesting, I will be sure to have
someone post the results as soon as possible.
