[birdky] RPT: Sauerheber Unit, Henderson Co., 21 Nov 2007

John Brunjes and I visited the Sauerheber Unit of Sloughs WMA in western
Henderson County this afternoon. From the observation tower along KY 268 at the
"Woods Tract" we enjoyed a wonderful variety of geese and dabbling ducks. Not
sure how the brief upcoming hunting season will affect this collection, but it
is certainly worth taking in if you are in the vicinity and have a spotting
scope. You will know when you get to the right spot because the shallow water
units on either side of the highway will be full of birds!
