This afternoon I banded a hatch-year female Rufous Hummingbird at the
home of Heidi and Mark Gregg, who live west of Peytona off US 60 in
eastern Shelby County. Just last fall, the Gregg's hosted a hatch-year
male Rufous for about 10 days in the latter half of November! Heidi
first noticed the bird about a week ago.
