Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007: A pair of red-breasted nuthatches was foraging
in a Virginia pine stand this afternoon at the Paintsville Lake WMA in
Johnson County. A pine warbler was singing too reminding me just how
important these pine stands are to some of Ky's breeding, migratory, and
wintering birds.
