[birdky] Re: RPT: Probable California Gull on northern Lake Barkley

We rented a boat to get closer, but were unable to relocate the bird this
afternoon. The last I heard, Brainard's luck was no better. I'll send more
details after the weekend and after a chance to review the distant pictures
I took.

Two other quick mentions:

* black-necked stilt pair at Open Pond Thursday morning
* 38 willets at Kentucky Dam beach Friday afternoon; none when we came back
by around 8 p.m.CDT Friday evening.

Subject: [birdky] RPT: Probable California Gull on northern Lake Barkley

Ben Yandell called awhile ago saying that he and Mary were pretty sure
they were looking at an adult California Gull on an island in northern Lake
Barkley as viewed from Green Turtle Bay resort. It was in the company of
about 10 Ring-billed Gulls. More info and confirmation of ID forthcoming
tonight or tomorrow.
