[birdky] RPT- Ohio River at Louisville

Spent an hour or so on the Ohio River at Louisville this morning. It
continues to AMAZE me that our gull fauna continues to be ONLY Ring-billeds
-- not even ONE Herring in view today. Where are all the northern birds
with this cold???

Waterfowl highlights included all three mergansers -- about a dozen Hooded,
one female Common, and a molting male Red-breasted. Also present were
about 10 Canvasbacks, 6 Lesser Scaup, 2 Greater Scaup, 4 Bufflehead and 6
Common Goldeneye. These few birds were quite scattered with greatest
number off the Louisville Science Center parking lot.
