[birdky] RPT: Miscellaneous reports ...

Just took a walk across the parking lot at KSNPC in Frankfort, and two
Red-eyed Vireos that have not been around in recent weeks were dueling
with songs from opposite sides of the lot. Yesterday evening, I had a
"whitting" Least Flycatcher in my mom's yard in Louisville ... seems as
though the recent cool weather must have some birds moving around or at
least enjoying the conditions.

Roost rings are now showing up well on NWS radar in the mornings. Again
this year, roosts of probable Purple Martins are showing up at
Lexington, Richmond, Campbellsville, Glasgow, and down somewhere near
Dale Hollow Lake. These are all visible on the Louisville radar site; I
have yet to get to the computer at the right time to scan around on
adjacent sites to see what else is showing up. If anyone happens to pin
down the locations and approximate numbers of birds I'd appreciate
receiving the info. I will also try to do a close inspection of radar
this week and provide a more detailed list of probable locations for
these roosts.
