Caperton Swamp (completely dry):
* vireos: yellow-throated 1, blue-headed 1
* warblers: magnolia 4, Nashville 4, Tennessee 2, black-throated green 2,
com. yellowthroat 1, ovenbird 1
* also: ruby-crowned kinglet 4, golden-crowned kinglet 2, rose-breasted
grosbeak 3, winter wren 1, and many white-throated sparrows.
Melco retention basin (one puddle and a few muddy spots):
* sparrows: Lincoln?s, swamp, song, savannah, white-crowned sparrow.
* also: a leucistic/albino bird seen briefly. Essentially all-white,
perhaps with a few dusky feather edges. Mary said the eyes were dark.
Possibilities: indigo bunting or sparrow species.
