[birdky] RPT: Lost Two Martins

In the past week, two adult male purple martins have been hit by passing
cars.  The narrow grassy ditch along the edge of the yard and road is
wet this time of year.  The martins have traditionally gathered mud and
grass at this location for nest building.  I'm sure they will both be
replaced rather quickly if not already by unpaired males.  I hate to see
them go this way.  If they have to go, I would prefer they bite the dust
in the talons of a hawk (but only occasionally).  Last year, two adult
males died due to the prolonged poor weather conditions in April.
