[birdky] RPT: Logan County Observations

24 August 2009:
Today I observed the following birds of possible interest. At Crocker Farm
Pond, on KY 100 west of Russellville near the Simpson County Line, I
observed:
1. 2 Blue-winged Teal,
2. 1 Solitary Sandpiper,
3. 1 Lesser Yellowlegs,
4. 5 Spotted Sandpipers,
5. 10 Semi-palmated Sandpipers,
6. 25 Least Sandpipers,
7. 11 Pectoral Sandpipers, and
a few Killdeer.
At Lake Herndon/Boy Scout Lake, 1 Double-crested Cormorant was observed.
This afternoon late, a single Broad-winged Hawk kettled over my house
apparently migrating southward.
That concludes this report.
