[birdky] RPT: Logan County KY 739 Transient Lake-Pond

19 May 2008:

Birding the KY 739 Transient Lake-Pond in Central Logan County produced
results pretty much as one would expect.  The numbers below, except as
noted, represent counts rather than estimates and therefore should be
considered minimum.  Observed were:

While there, Frank and Alison Lyne arrived and we scoped the birds together.
When I left, the Lynes were still present.

Hidden here at the bottom, I find that I must retract my notation of 16 May
regarding 3 Western Sandpipers from this site.  I was challenged by one of
the 2 near Deities with whom I have a relationship and upon further review,
the Deity might have been right.  I am uncertain and withdraw the report of
that species on 16 May due to this uncertainty.  

I am having a bad spring; I am normally cautious; I like to avoid frequent
and public embarrassment.

That concludes this report.
