I too saw a single black-backed gull along with 2 or 3 ring-billed gulls on
Jacobson Lake at about 8:30 AM on Monday 5th March. I have a v. poor quality
photo also from which I judged it was the lesser variety as it was only about
20% bigger than the ring-billed gulls.
