[birdky] RPT: Ft. Knox Warblers


Did a lot of birding this week while staying at Camp Carlson RV park along Otter Creek in Meade County. Thursday, 5/7/09,  was the best day with 18 species of warblers seen.  Some of the warblers were seen on the base (a scrub field and wooded area along 9th Calvary Regiment Ave).

Magnolia
Cape May (FOY)
Y-rumped
Blackburnian (FOY)
Y-throated
Prairie
Bay-breasted
Blackpoll (FOY)
Black and White
A. Redstart
L. Waterthrush
Kentucky
C. Yellowthroat
Y-breasted Chat
 
Observed a Blue Grosbeak (FOY) near the airstrip on Ft. Knox property.
