[birdky] RPT: Falls of the Ohio 9/6/2008

I joined Eddie Huber, the Yandells, and members of the Audubon Society of Ky at 
the Falls of the Ohio this morning ... while I was there I logged 12 species of 
shorebirds (list below); Ben mentioned seeing/hearing 4 Black-bellied Plovers 
calling overhead for 13 I'm aware of.
 
American Golden-Plover 1 adult
Semipalmated Plover 3 juvenals
Killdeer 35-40
Lesser Yellowlegs 2 j
Spotted Sandpiper 3 j
Sanderling 3 j
Ruddy Turnstone 1
Least Sandpiper 12+ j
Semipalmated Sandpiper 5+ j
White-rumped Sandpiper 2 a (probably continuing from a few days ago)
Baird's Sandpiper 2 j
Buff-breasted Sandpiper 1 j
 
There were also plenty of warblers "zips" in the trees and overhead; I saw 
Tennessee, Magnolia, and Wilson's.
