The Eastern Kentucky Bird Club had its October meeting at the Minor Clark
Fish Hatchery/Cave Run Lake area on 10/20/02.
About 40 species of bird were observed. Here are some of the highlights:
Green-winged Teal
Gadwall
American Widgeon
Horned and Pied-billed Grebes
Wilson's Snipe
Red-shouldered Hawk
American Kestrel
Osprey
Bald Eagle
Tree and Northern Rough-winged Swallows
Eastern Phoebe
Yellow-rumped and Palm Warblers
White-crowned Sparrow
Our November meeting will be held at Grayson Lake on 11/17/02--details to
follow later.
