I joined fellow Beckham Bird Club members Jack Still and Michael Autin at Cave
Hill Cemetery to look for Pine Siskins this morning. We were successful, albeit
only briefly. Michael located at least 2 Pine Siskins on the road running
between the brick wall and the rock quarry. Jack and I saw the birds as well
and heard the flight call. The kestrel was located in this area as well. Not
long after Michael found the siskins, he had to go to work. Jack and I returned
to the location after delivering Michael to his car, but were unable to
relocate the siskins. If you go, please be aware of the large, fast moving
maintenance vehicles that travel that road frequently. This report consists
only of what I saw/heard. Michael plans to return this afternoon.
