[birdky] RPT: California Gull continues at Kentucky Dam

I saw what I'm calling a first-year California Gull below Kentucky Dam again
Mon-Tues, November 26-27. It was seen just about every time I went by there,
mostly loafing with other gulls either on the concrete pad below the Powerhouse
Parking area or on some riverside boulders slightly downstream. I DO believe
that it has a wing that is hurt in some way as it is sometimes seen drooping it
more than the other one and it does fly a bit strangely. Other than a seemingly
anomalous mottled light terminal tail band, the bird appears in all respects to
match a first-year California Gull. With the potentially hurt wing and affinity
for the Kentucky Dam tailwaters, I think this bird is relatively "findable"
with a little effort. The long, slender bill is DISTINCTLY bi-colored and it is
not much larger than some large Ring-billed Gulls.
