Began at dawn at Swan Lake and finished up at Mitchell. Habitat at Swan is still decent but will last only a couple more weeks. Mitchell Lake is a few inches higher due to heavy rain and the sandbar is underwater. However, Lower Beaver Dam Slough is very good today as the water has just been drained down. All the shorebirds seen at BWMA were seen at Lower Beaver Dam. Hopefully, the habitat on Mitchell will improve before Lower Beaver Dam is dry.
