[birdky] Re: RPT: American Avocet at the Falls of the Ohio

In 1796+/- the boundary line of KY was established as the highwater line on the
north side of the Ohio River.
This is (or was) a question on the land surveyor's exam.

Does anyone know where the state line is at that location? (Is this bird in
KY?) In some spots, the line is north of the river.

Am. avocet is currently on the fossil beds across from the Visitors Center.

Staff from the Falls of the Ohio found an American Avocet at the Falls of
the Ohio this morning. It was still there at noon. I just came in to check
email and am forwarding the report from Alan Goldstein.

Judy Galitzine found an American Avocet at the Falls this morning. Attached
is a photo – a bit challenging because of the breeze.
