Following up on Mark's comment ... anyone not particularly familiar with how
superficially similar immature and female Rufous Hummingbirds are to
imm./female Ruby-throateds should be looking carefully at hummers if they are
still around. There is a decent chance that they are now something other than a
Ruby-throated. As is typical, Ruby-throateds lingering into the 3rd and 4th
weeks of October may be injured in some way or in poor health, although some
are just tardy in departing.

I was actually curious about everyone's hummingbird situation. I have
not seen one since the 9th, although I would not be surprised to see
one or two stragglers in the next week.
