[birdky] Re: Purple Finches

I fill the feeders at the visitor center of the Forest Service Offices
in Morehead. We have had no purple finches and very few house finches.
Even the sparrows have been fewer this year.

Joan, as far as BC Chickadees-I can't remember any height preference but
they seemed to be less twitchy than the Carolinas. Unfortunately we
aren't in Blaine anymore to notice if they are still around or not.
