For those of you in the Lexington area, the Buckley Hills Audubon Society is hosting a presentation "The Remarkable Intelligence of Birds" by Dr. Thomas Zentall. Dr. Zentall is the senior researcher in the University of Kentucky's Comparative Cognition Laboratory. He has published many articles on research in the field of Comparative Animal Cognition. His work investigates numerical competence, subjective timing, episodic memory, work ethic, and gambling in pigeons. He will discuss some of his own research and some of the other research being done which is leading scientists to agree that birds are much smarter than most people credit them. This event will be held Tuesday, Nov 15, starting at 7:00 PM at the Lexington Public Library at 140 East Main St, Lexington, in conference room A on the lower level. It is free and open to the public. Please come out and join us.
